This was a nice book, a little formulaic, and somewhat "to good to be true". I was consistently irritated by the use of the term "Congressional Medal of Honor" throughout the book. Anyone with the slightest Military knowledge knows that it is just "The Medal of Honor" and it is awarded, never earned! I was in the Far East (but not in Vietnam) in 1963/1964 with the USMC and I found this story a little "too good to be true", even for a Novel. Semper Fi Mac!Product details

Was great reading. I finished it in the first couple of days. It was hard to put the book down. I am hoping for a second one soon.
Smart, engaging, terrifying and honest. This was a great choice for a summer read - one I won't soon forget.
The book was a great read and I truly enjoyed the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in Vietman War. The book cover as a hard back was cheap and I was disapointed in the appearance of the book.
Very well written. For those of us who were "in" during the early to mid 60s' reading this will bring back a lot of memories, both good & bad. A great read!!!
A very interesting and a well told story. A little too much "boot camp", but it did bind the characters together.
